Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 DLC Release Date Update, New Trailer and Cast

Last fall, Ed Boon, showrunner of the Mortal Kombat franchise, showed off four silhouettes of playable characters that will be coming to the latest iteration of the gory fighting game Mortal Kombat X.  There were many guesses as to who these characters actually were, but they have been revealed.  Now that these characters (some old and some new) have stepped out of the shadows, this is what is known about the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 Downloadable Content (DLC) Release Date and New Trailer and Cast.

Using the picture in the image, here are the players from left to right.

  • Bo'Rai Cho: This fighter might be overweight, but he uses it to his advantage. He likes to use his fat posterior to squash opponents, and often uses his flatulence as a weapon as well. Another weapon in his arsenal is projectile vomiting. He is a returner to the field, having made his debut in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
  • Leatherface: Mortal Kombat has been known to bring in fighters from successful horror franchises, like the Predator alien and Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th. Another one of the biggest horror movie franchises is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which features a slasher named Leatherface. This character was one of the first movie slashers all the way back in 1974 with Tobe Hooper's classic horror film, and he can do some very brutal and bloody attacks with a chainsaw that is as big as his opponents.
  • Alien: Another science fiction and horror villain makes its way into the Mortal Kombat series with the Alien from the Alien movie series. The Xenomorph can do some interesting attacks with its long bladed tail, and it is also capable of some other grotesque attacks as well.
  • Triborg: This character is new to the franchise, and he is a "combination of cyborgs Sektor, Cyrax, and Smoke". This means that he can teleport, fire missiles, and use a buzz saw for his attacks. He also has these robotic tentacles that can attack as well.

According to Gamespot, any player that purchases the Kombat Pack 2 gets these four new characters as well as the Apocalypse Pack (with three new characters skins for Takeda, D'Vorah, and Erron Black), as well as the Goro character (previously only available as a preorder/paid fighter).   This content is also included such as:

  • The Brazil Pack with three new character skins: Futbol Cage, Capoeira Liu Kang, and Gaucho Kung Lao.
  • The Kold War Pack with three new character skins: Motherland Sonya, Tundra Sub-Zero, and Revolution Kano.
  • Kold War Scorpion: The classic Mortal Kombat character with a Kold War skin.

So far, this is the first thing revealed about the Kombat Pack 2 for 2016, but there will be more as the release date comes. The new trailer has been revealed in the video below.  It looks like one of the bloodiest games of all time is about to get bloodier.
