Moltmann's Passing: From Prisoner of War to Theologian

Renowned German Reformed theologian Jürgen Moltmann passed away on June 3 at his home in Tübingen, Germany, at the age of 98. During World War II, Moltmann was taken as a prisoner of war, and the laments in the Book of Psalms inspired his faith. His theology of hope later reconstructed the Christian eschatological view, profoundly influencing contemporary and Chinese theology. During his lifetime, he visited Hong Kong and mainland China to give lectures.
