Eight months after Paulette Leaphart's double mastectomy, she said God spoke to her and told her to remove her shirt. She was at the beach over Labor Day weekend at the time, and as strangers saw her scars, they started to cry but also applauded. Those unplanned minutes launched Leaphart's new personal purpose to help other survivors find beauty in their bodies - to free them.

American Prisoner of War Finds, Thanks Chinese Rescuer After 18-Year Search
People referred to a recent encounter of two strangers as a kiss that was 71 years in the making. An 83-year-old woman, who formerly was a child prisoner in a Japanese camp during the Second World War, flew half way around the world to thank the Chinese interpreter who helped rescue her 71 years ago. While a young girl, the woman had been living in China with her Christian missionary parents.

When she was born in 1941, the average life expectancy for someone with the genetic chromosomal disorder was mid-20s. She also a decade ago battled, and beat, breast cancer and tuberculosis.
