The pastor developed the diet with three doctors two years ago, and it proved to helped him lose significant weight. The plan centers on faith and friends, along with diet and exercise.

  

• Hong Kong on High Alert After First Human Case of H7N9 Bird Flu

  The first human case of H7N9 avian flu has been confirmed in Hong Kong, with the threat of an outbreak deemed "serious," according to Ko Wingman, the secretary for food and health in the region. The virus, which is often lethal to humans but cause no symptoms in birds, is circulating less than 30 miles from city's downtown.

  

• Duck Dynasty’s Missy Robertson on Faith, Family, and Fame

  Jase Robertson's wife Missy recently shared about her family's faith and how they have had opportunities to share Christ with others because of A&E's reality television show "Duck Dynasty." Missy, who grew up as a pastor's daughter and has faithfully served as an active member of White's Ferry Road Church of Christ for decades, says that the Robertson family has stayed true to themselves and is hoping to use their fame to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  

• China's One-Child Policy Relaxed, Still in Force

  The People's Republic of China relaxed its one-child policy on November 15 to allow married couples with at least one parent who is an only child to apply for two birth permits. The law had formerly only made exception for certain rural families and for couples with both parents who are only children.

  Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin teamed up with Jubilee Project, a non-profit organization which produces inspirational videos of real-life stories, to encourage and share the story of Jose Estrella, a teenager who has overcome drug abuse and has found joy in the Lord.
