With Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the way, Samsung is poised to update its current lineup to the new firmware. Already, the South Korean firm has brought Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 5. Meanwhile, rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 5 Edge, or Note Edge 2, may be released this October.

Motorola may be amongst the first manufacturers to update Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which may reach Moto 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen. There is no word on Motorola’s plans for the Moto G 1st Gen, Moto E (2013) and Moto E (2014).

With Android 6.0 Marshmallow just around the corner, HTC may have skipped Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for the One M8, One M9 and One M8 Eye. Although Google has yet to confirm the Android Marshmallow release date, online theories tend to suggest either September or October.
