If you are a huge fan of all that BMW offers, then you would surely be interested in changing your ride to the all new 2017 BMW 5 Series sedan to show the rest of the world that you have arrived. The all-new 2017 BMW 5 Series has been priced, and while it is not going to be as cheap as the Toyota Camry or Honda Accord, you will be able to cruise down in style with the signature kidney grilles located in front, reveling in Bavarian motor magic. Ready to make its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month before it arrives at showrooms this coming February 11, 2017, the prices have more or less remained within range, but you might want to stretch your tongue a little bit before trying to make a case for picking a model with the missus.
For starters, the 2017 BMW 530i will cost you $52,195, while the 530i xDrive will be a wee bit more expensive at $54,495 pop. For those who would want to have more ponies underneath the hood whenever they floor the accelerator can settle for the BMW 540i that will knock you back by $57,445 with the BMW 540i xDrive option being $59,745. This would be an increase of $1,000 thereabouts for each variant as opposed to the respective 2016 5 Series model.
If you think that all of those models are not your cup of tea simply because you would like to have more punch in your driving, then fret not. There will be the BMW M550i xDrive, BMW 530e and 530e xDrive iPerformance models in line, although no pricing details have been revealed for those models just yet. You will need to exercise patience for the higher end trio though, since they are only expected to arrive some time in spring next year. However, based on the slight increase in price for the 2017 range, we too, expect a similar ratio for the trio of souped up rides.
What does the additional $1,000 net you? Surely it can’t be due to the weakness of the US dollar, since it is as strong as it can be for the better part of the last decade. A stronger currency lets you buy more, as all 2017 BMW 5 Series will boast of active LED headlights as well as 18-inch wheels. The four-cylinder model will have a totally new engine underneath the hood, delivering 8 more horsepower while seeing its name changed from 528i to 530i. As for the inline-six, it picks up 35 more horsepower, carrying the 540i moniker now compared to 535i. This means the numbers are no longer a reflection of the displacement as before.
