Enter the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro that can be yours as long as you have at least $26,000 to spare.
That is the starting price for the basic model, and with 26 grand, you end up with the entry-level 1LT Manual Coupe that is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo. Of course, prices are subject to change as the Camaro happens to be one of the most extensive series from Chevrolet. If you are used to the finer things in life, then there is the 1SS model that will cost a whole lot more at $36,905.
The most expensive of the lot, however, would be the ZL1 Convertible that costs close to double the 1SS model at $67,140 a pop. At that price point, it separates the men from the boys on the road. This is because the new convertible will let you unleash at least a whopping 650 ponies thanks to the 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine.
A missing specific showroom release date remains the thorn in the side of the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. According to Al Oppenheiser, the Camaro chief engineer, he claims that with each iteration of the series, one will naturally aspire to achieve a higher benchmark than before -- even for the entry level 1LE. Oppenheiser shared, "Start with a lightweight, stiff structure and then add higher levels of suspension stiffness and damping, more aggressive tires, higher downforce, more powerful brakes and more cooling. The result delivers better performance in all measures."
The Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE will arrive in a couple of different models, the V-6 and the V-8. While the two 1LE variants come with a black plastic front splitter, the V-6 and the V-8 do have differences, albeit being hardly noticeable. The shared rear-lip spoiler do not make matters easier, either. The V-6 1LE will boast of 20-inch forged-aluminum wheels with a 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric summer tires.
Those who opt for the V-8 will enjoy section widths of 285/30 front and 305/20 rear, that will complement the 20-inch wheels that are from forged-aluminum, too. The Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE will boast of a dual-mode exhaust, extra-engine coolant capacity, and engine-oil cooler.
Regardless, they will arrive with a matte-black vinyl over its hood in addition to the door mirrors. The Camaro 1LE's steering wheel will boast of a microsuede steering wheel and shift knobs, ensuring elegance will complete the fierce external look. Magnetic Ride Control Adaptive Dampers and unique springs ensure you get as smooth a ride as possible without any help from Bumblebee. We can't wait for the fourth quarter of 2016 for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro to be released.
