It has been almost three months since Google officially announced the rollout of Android Version 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow).  However, with the exception of Google's own Nexus devices, most Android devices still do not have it.  For those who have Motorola products like the Moto G 2014, 2015; Moto X 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, Moto E, here is the latest on the Release Date of Marshmallow on such countries and carriers like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, US Cellular, and T-Mobile.

The latest news, according to the International Business Times, is that Android Marshmallow to Moto G for the 3rd Generation has commenced for the Indian variant of the device.  This was confirmed by a tweet from Motorola India saying "here is something new and amazing for your Moto G (3rd Gen), the Android 6.0 Marshmallow).  Gotta Be Mobile has stated that the Android upgrade has already came to the Moto G 2015 in the United States.

A separate article from the IB Times states that Motorola revealed that the devices intended to receive the Android 6.0 update include the Moto X Play, Moto Turbo, Moto G (both 2nd and 3rd Generation), and Moto X (second generation), as well as the Droid Turbo and Moto Maxx.  Originally, it was thought that the Moto E wasn't going to get the Marshmallow upgrade, but it has been confirmed that Android 6.0 will rollout to the 2015 Moto E 4G variant in select regions including Canada, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.  Unfortunately, the United States was not on the listed for the Moto E.

So far, the Moto X Style devices in both Brazil and India have received their Android 6.0 update, and European countries are expected to get the latest software shortly.  Other devices to receive the update include the Moto X (2014 edition) in the United States, Canada, India, and the United Kingdom.   Also, the Moto G (2015) is currently getting its share of Android M.

A recent report on Pocket-Lint said that Motorola confirmed that it was in the approval process for the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Generation) so it is possible that by the time this article posts, it might already have its Android update in full effect.

The issue with the rollout of Android is that it tends to be slow when it comes to rolling out depending on the subscriber, such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or US Cellular in the United States.  According to Android Pit, David Schuster announced on Google Plus that Marshmallow was beginning the rollout across Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular.

The issue with Motorola is they might be faster to rollout the latest version of Android, they don't necessarily have a list with release dates.  Therefore, you can expect to see your Motorola device getting its update when it gets it.
