Know the latest updates in HTC One M10.

As usual, the Android upgrade has happened, but so few of the newest Android devices have it, even though the rollout officially happened about four months ago.  HTC usually tries to give its newer customers the Android rollout within 90 days, but they haven't succeeded this year.  However, one of their newer phones does have it, and this is what is known about the Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for HTC One M9 and M8 for carriers US Cellular, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon, plus news on the upcoming HTC One M10.

It looks like HTC is keeping its promise as far as getting Marshmallow to the HTC One M9 is concerned.  And that is conditional on whether or not your HTC One M9 is with Sprint.  Mo Versi, who is VP of Product Management at HTC, and the guy who makes announcements about Android upgrades to HTC smart devices, told Twitter that Marshmallow would come to Sprint's HTC One M9, and retweets have proven him right.

As someone who has this model of smartphone and is with Verizon, I have just tested to see whether or not my system update is available, and it is not.  This is an issue with Android upgrades, that they often come to one carrier before the other, and it looks like this is happening to HTC.

Tech Radar reports that HTC One M8 users of the UK will be receiving the upgrade, but there is no word on when it will be coming to the rest of the world as yet.  There is also no word on when the Android upgrade will be coming to other HTC phones such as the HTC One M9+, HTC One E9, HTC One ME, HTC One E8, HTC One M8 EYE, HTC Butterfly 3, HTC Desire 826, HTC Desire 820 and HTC Desire 816.

Speaking of other HTC phones besides the HTC One M9 and M8, there had been a lot of talk about the next HTC flagship smartphone, the M10.  Recent rumors of the device on Phone Arena has shown that the screen size could receive an upgrade.  Not only could it be 5.1 inches, but it could go as high as 5.2 inches, almost bringing it into phablet territory.  The resolution will be the same at 1440 x 2560 (QHD) resolution as well as Snapdragon SoC on the inside.

The recent article also pointed out that there could be some changes like no stereo speakers, no HTC logo on the front, and a fingerprint scanner on the bottom of the phone's face.

It is expected that the HTC One M10 will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress, an annual event that takes place in Barcelona, Spain, but there has been reports that it may not even be called the M10.  One thing is for sure, it should have Android 6.0 right out of the box, but will its other HTC predecessors have that?  We will know in a few weeks.
