Now it is looking like Android M (also known as version 6.0 or Marshmallow) is rolling out to a lot of the newer smartphones of Android, and it is about time that LG had their chance at it. This is the latest news on Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for LG G5, G4, G3, G Flex 2, G4 Style, and V10 on Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, T-Mobile, and AT&T.
Of course, when it comes to Android upgrades, the flagship phones are the ones to receive it first, and the newest flagship, LG G5, already has it right out of the box. When the initial rollout of Android 6.0 began to rollout, LG promised that their devices would be the first to get it. As it turns out, they were not, and there was a problem when they were rolling it out in Poland.
As for the LG G4, Android M has been available for the device in Korea. In the United States, the upgrade has come to the LG G4 to AT&T as well as Verizon. This means that it is coming to Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular assuming it hasn't already come already. US users of those carriers are encouraged to go to their "Settings" menu and click on "System Update" to see it you can download it now. Keep in mind that certain U.S. carriers often receive the Android M rollout before others, so it might be possible for Verizon or AT&T, but not for the other three.
Considering that LG was a company that promised to get Android Marshmallow to their consumers first, it is good that they are getting it out to their consumers. Not only is LG getting it to their newer flagship phones, but they are also getting it out to their older models of smartphones as well.
For those who have the flagship phone from two years ago with the LG G3, there is good news. Verizon has the Android upgrade readily available for its customers, but this is not the case on the other carriers. According to the Lawyer Herald, there is no clear statement from Sprint on when it will be releasing Marshmallow to its customers. T-Mobile is also in the manufacturer development stage, and there are also no statements from AT&T and US Cellular on their LG G3 Android 6.0 upgrade status.
As far as other phones like the LG V10, LG G Flex 2, and LG G4C are concerned, there isn't news on that, according to Tech Radar. These are believed to be on the long list of devices to receive the upgrade, so users of these particular devices could be in for a long or short wait.
