Neurogadget sates that Samsung announced that the Android 6.0 upgrade will reach several of their devices in Q1 and Q2 of 2016. Yes, it doesn't look like Samsung Android users will be receiving any Marshmallow treats for the holiday season, but things have been known to change. Part of the reason why Samsung's Android updates tend to be delayed is because the big Korean company has to work with Android with its own custom Touch Wiz UI, according to Trusted Reviews.

- The Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which is the new version of the popular phablet just released.

Yes, there are a lot of older devices that are still relatively new that will be receiving an Android upgrade to 6.0 as well, and these include the Galaxy S5, Note 4, and possibly others like the S4. Of course, most of these gadgets are still running Android version 5.0 (also known as Android L or Lollipop), and some devices, like the Note 4, don't even have the latest version of that version, which is Android 5.1.1.
The exact release date has not been confirmed for any Samsung device, but for American users, it could depend on their carrier like Verizon, US Cellular, T-Mobile, AT&T, or Sprint. For example, Galaxy Note 4 units available on Verizon Wireless are standing by to run their bench tests, and these tests will be running throughout the month. T-Mobile has also listed their first wave of devices to receive Android Marshmallow, and it also includes the Galaxy Note 4, according to Android Pit.
