Now that Android 6.0 (also known as Marshmallow or Android M) has been officially rolled out for about four months, it is time for it to be upgraded into the newest of Android devices.  LG looks like it has made some strides to get Android M to their users, and this is the latest about Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date LG G4, G3, V10, G Flex 2 on Verizon, US Cellular, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile.  There is also news about the new LG G5 Release Date and Specs.

So far, LG has been doing a good job in its attempts to get Marshmallow into the hands of its users, or at least as good as it can.  Right after Marshmallow was released, the company began pushes to get it in Poland, and it is supported in other parts of Europe, Asia, and the Americas, but as far as when it will come to the UK and the United States, it still remains a big unknown.

Pocket Lint reports that the release date of Android M in the UK and United States will probably be sometime in February, at least for the newest Android device from LG, the G4.  In fact, it has been confirmed that the LG G4 has been Marshmallow since February 4, provided that you are a T-Mobile customer.  There is also a report from Tech Radar saying that the update "is also now rolling out to Sprint in the US, but there's no official word on which devices will get the upgrade, or when".

This is quite typical of Android rollouts, as one subscriber often receives it before the others.  There are other LG headsets that are set to receive the upgrade like LG G3, the LG V10, the LG G Flex 2, and other more recent LG Android phones.

Speaking of more recent LG phones, LG is planning on replacing its flagship phone with a new one that will presumably be called the LG G5.  According to the International Business Times, LG has already sent off invitations to the official event of unveiling, set to take place on February 21st, a day before Mobile World Congress, an annual event in Barcelona, Spain officially begins.

As far as the specs, this is what is known.  The G5 should have a 5.5 or 5.6 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,440 x 2,560.  As for what is inside, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and have an Adreno 530 GPU.  As for what is inside, expect 32 GB internal memory which will be expandable to 128 GB via microSD card.  The camera is expected to be 16 Megapixels for the primary, and then 8 Megapixels for the secondary.  The battery should be about 3,000 mAh.
