Officially coming on June 23, Batman: Arkham Knight is much anticipated by the gaming community and is seen to take the industry by storm as the biggest release this summer. Batman: Arkham Knight features a variety of upgrades and pedigrees compared to its predecessor Batman: Arkham Asylum.

In a new live-action trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, a number of average Joes were seen in various situations that forced them to unleash their inner dark side and become the Batman.

Game developer Rocksteady has also unveiled details about Batman: Arkham Knights, including a new feature called "Dual Play," which will allow players to switch back and forth between heroes during combat. With Dual Play, players can switch Batman and his allies, namely Nightwing and Batgirl, during combat to defeat an enemy, said Game Spot.

Gamers can also decide to fight alongside Catwoman and Robin while playing Batman: Arkham Knight.

The release of Batman: Arkham Knight was originally scheduled in 2014. Warner Bros., and Rocksteady have confirmed that the game would officially hit the shelves on June 23 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms. Rocksteady said Batman: Arkham Knight features voices from veterans of Breaking Bad and Lord of the Rings veteran.

Rocksteady also released an eight-minute trailer in the third episode of the "Arkham Insider" weekly video series entitled 'Characters Unmasked.' The video provides rich graphics and a cinematic revelation. It shows character designs and concepts of the Arkham Knight, Scarecrow, and Batman.

The video teases the players with the Arkham Knight rallying his troops with unyielding resolution, and full of energy and strong commitment to destroy Gotham City and its heroes. The camera eventually pans out showing the Arkham Knight surrounded by his vast army - all wearing red and black, and flanked by drone tanks & quadcopters.

The attention to detail given by Rockstedy in the development of Batman: Arkham Knight, as well as its engaging story, makes the game worth the wait for its millions of fans.

Batman: Arkham City, follows the storyline of the original franchise where the player is dumped into a walled off section of Gotham City without any weapon. The user will need to acquire his gears during the game, and investigate reports of the demise of the Joker in his quest to put a stop to villains operating inside Arkham City who are intent on destroying the rest of the city. Users will be introduced to new arrays of gadgets, including a remote controlled Batarang.

In our latest report, Rocksteady said in the official Batman: Arkham Knight discussion forum blog, "In our last trailer, All Who Follow You, we unveiled a new gadget in Batman's arsenal: The Disruptor. This new gadget has been tailored to meet the challenges of Gotham City's vast landscape through its long range capabilities, and provides options that bolster Batman's ability to control engagements like never before."

The Disruptor has three charges per engagement, requiring Batman to carefully select how best to use each charge in order to compliment his plan of attack. Batman: Arkham Knight provides four main uses for the gun for our caped hero:

• Jamming enemies weapons when they attempt to fire at Batman
• Exploding enemy weapons (by using two charges on the same weapon)
• Rigging weapon crates to shock enemies who try to arm themselves
• Tagging vehicles with tracking devices for Batmobile pursuits
