The recently concluded closed alpha of Battlefield 1 is highly positive. Many players praised the shooter game's new features and exciting gameplay. Interestingly, important details of the game leaked due to data mining. Now, here's the latest round up of update about Battlefield 1 release date, gameplay and new features.
In 15 years of making hit shooters, developer DICE learned how to make action-filed and thrilling games. This experience clearly showed in the Battlefield 1. The World War I-themed game offers large battle spaces, lots of vehicles and environmental damage. These features are all well-written and polished.
GameRant said creators of Battlefield 1 also want to alter the series' familiar class system. One of the game's noteworthy changes has been made in the Medic class, which will have the Heal and Revive abilities that previously owned by Assault characters. Gaming analysts say this change will allow players to have smoother and more fast-paced gameplay.
Medics will have two medkits. The smaller medkits can be thrown in the general direction to heal an injured player. On the other hand, the larger medkits require damaged players to stand on them while dropped.
Furthermore, Medics have taken the Engineer's Repair Vehicles ability, letting them heal injured players and damaged vehicles. However, Medics have limited slots for their tools. They can only choose between Repair Vehicles and one of the Medkits stated above.
Aside from Medics, many gamers praised the other well-defined classes in the game such as Assault, Support and Scout. Each of the classes has own weapons, vulnerabilities and special abilities.
Interestingly, the game modes of Battlefield 1 have also been revealed. Players should expect there will be Rush, Conquest and Team Deathmatch in the game. Some of the shooter's unique modes are Breakthrough, Domination and Possession.
According to Polygon, Battlefield 1 used some of the best features of previous Battlefield titles. It also gave improvements to aspects that previously seemed half-baked, such as the use of the environment to create tension.
With a few more months left before Battlefield 1 becomes available, it is expected developers will release more information in the next coming weeks to tease players on what to expect in the game.
Battlefield 1 is scheduled to become available on October 21, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
