The very first beta weekend for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta has kicked off exclusively for the PS4 over the weekend, all the way through to Monday, October 17. Of course, those who are rocking to the Xbox One platform will be able to enjoy the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta from October 21 to October 24 in the coming weekend, alongside PS4 gamers.

Basically, those who have already placed a pre-order for the title on the PS4 platform would have been able to pick up a beta access code that delivers instant access to the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta. They will then be able to experience Infinite Warfare multiplayer on a first hand basis, where among them include totally new maps for you to master, an all-new Combat Rigs system, brand new weaponry, unique progression systems, mission teams, and select multiplayer modes among others.

Basically, the multiplayer aspect of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare would be about customizing the experience in order to have it cater to various kinds of play styles, and it kicks off with Rigs. Dave Stohl, Studio Head of Infinity Ward, shared, “In the Beta, players will get their hands on our new Rigs, abilities, equipment, and of course our new craftable, prototype weapons. With new maps and modes, there’s a ton of cool new stuff here, and we’re excited to share a slice of multiplayer with the community. The data we’ll receive over these next two weekends will be helpful as we get ready to share the full multiplayer experience next month at release.”

The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta is but a sample representation of the entire multiplayer mode. It will provide fans with a quick sneak of what new features will be made available, as well as the features that are set to make a return. Beta participants will be able to wrap their fingers around Combat Rigs, which would be the main attraction of the multiplayer beta. It is built around half a dozen play styles. These new combat systems, also known as suits, will be able to deliver a whole new level of customization for the player.

When you pick your Rig, it will be part of the strategy as you can then personalize your loadout with selectable abilities, which will be known as Payloads or Traits, prior to heading into the battlefield. There will be half of the game’s six different Combat Rigs made available when the Beta makes its way, so the full multiplayer segment will see the remaining three Combat Rigs revealed.

The Infinite Warfare Beta boasts of three different maps that have been specially designed to accommodate a range of engagements. All of them have been built to immerse players into fast, fun, and frenetic gameplay, which are signatures of what the Call of Duty series have delivered so far.

Several game modes in the Beta will include fan favorites such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, in addition to a brand new game mode which is called Defender. Missions Teams will also be another new introduction, where joining up with different teams can let you rank up in order to pick different rewards from that particular team: among them include calling cards, camos, emblems, and weapons.

While you enjoy the multiplayer beta for the coming couple of weeks, it would definitely hold you in good stead to break interested gamers when the remaining multiplayer content, features, maps and game modes launch with the final Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare this November 4 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
