In case you are not aware of Candy Crush Saga and its spinoff game, Candy Crush Soda Saga, they are immensely popular and addictive games in the mobile and social networking world. They have both been updated with new episodes with several levels of fun for the free download games.
For those of you who are very much into Candy Crush Saga, you should know that the latest version, 1.45.1 will add 15 new levels. According to Game N Guide, this is the Candy Caboose, and they report the "Raccoon's plant is wilting" and you'll have to crush all the candy that stands in the way to save it.
This brings the full level count of Candy Crush Saga to 1300, with a total level count of 830, which does not include the Dreamworld episodes. Considering the game has a mammoth following, it is good that it comes out with new material pretty regularly. The last update was the Snoozy Slopes episode for Dreamworld, which I will explain later if you are not familiar with Candy Crush Saga terminology.
Speaking of updates, this would be a good time to talk about updates for the spin-off, Candy Crush Soda Saga. Game N Guide reports that Version 1.35.16 has a new episode known as Cotton Candy Castle, where players head back in time to the medieval world and discover who flooded the place with soda. This episode gives 15 levels of soda-loving goodness.
Now is the time to talk about Candy Crush Saga if you have never heard of it. Chances are you probably have heard of it, otherwise you are not on Facebook and don't have a smartphone. King released the game back in 2012 for Facebook, and then later on mobile app platforms. The game was a runaway success, and became the most popular game on Facebook one year after its release. Chances are, you probably received some game invitation for it, or have been told about it after one of your friends unlocked an achievement.
The game is so simple that a child can play it, and they do, as well as the adults. It is a match three game where you slide some candy over just to make a row disappear. Since that isn't really much to keep a gamer interested, King will often add a new episode which contain about 15 levels each (the first two having 10 levels). The levels vary as far as what types of matches you are looking for, which adds to the challenge.
What makes the Candy Crush Saga game so interesting is that you have about five lives to play it, and a life is lost whenever a layer is failed. Fortunately, you can get more for free if you just wait for them to replenish themselves, which takes about a half-hour. You can also send requests to Facebook friends to get more lives, which is the reason for the game's immense popularity on Facebook. It is possible to buy lives via credit card, or other method of payment including Google Play or Facebook credits. Or, as many have found out, you can just reset the clock in your phone, as seen in the Honest Trailer for Candy Crush Saga.
If you want to get in on Candy Crush Saga or its spinoff of Soda Crush Saga, head on over to the Apple Store, Google Play, or find it on Facebook. It is available for a free download, but you might have to pay for lives if you get addicted to this sugar rush.
