Despite the political instability in Thailand, Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism continued to hold its second world Chinese senior minister’s seminar and conference in the sight-seeing district. The speakers, ministers, and participants all came together in faith and encouraged one another.
In a statement released by CCCOWE, the conference began successfully as scheduled on Sept. 9 in Pattaya. At the opening ceremony, representatives from each country entered the hall with their country’s flags. The mayor of Pattaya delivered a welcoming speech to several thousand participants. Then, Rev. Samuel Kho delivered a sermon.
In a report of CCCOWE staff’s report, the conference began officially on the second day with the all activities proceeding as planned. In the morning, a praise and worship dance teacher from Taiwan led the participants in a dance and worship routine. Then, Rev. Morley Lee, executive director of CCCOWE, encouraged the elders to live by the conference’s theme of “Live till Old, Learn till Old.”
Later that night, Rev. Samuel Kho exhorted the participants on a message titled “Igniting Your Lives”, sharing about his experience in serving the Lord, encouraging the seniors to hold on to the opportunity in serve Christ. Dr. John Ong delivered a sermon, where he used a lantern as a parable, helping everyone to think about how to be igniting by the Lord.
Furthermore, CCCOWE urged the believers to pray for the safe delivery of books arranged by a Malaysian pastor, because of the employee strikes in Thailand the books delivery has been delayed. They’ve requested that everyone can pray that these books can arrive and be enjoyed by the participating seniors.
