Supercell's gaming application Clash of Clans still has a great following, and it will about to be greater as the company is doing a July 2015 or Summer 2015 update. Here is a preview of the features of the Clash of Clans Summer 2015 update, including its release date.
According to Product Reviews, this week will be when Supercell will finally drop the Clash of Clans July 2015 release date. From what we know of the update, it should include three new CoC Dark Spell Elixirs, a new Legend League tournament, Dragons that are Level 5, Spell queues, and a whole lot more.
Another rumor going around is that there will be a Town Hall 11, but there hasn't really been anything to back this up. However, AllClash, a website devoted to all things Clash of Clans, has reported and shown pictures of a Dark Spell Factory. Dark Spells are only take 1 unit of capacity as opposed to the 2 units that regular spells take up, and fans of Clash of Clans will be excited to know that players can now queue spells like regular troops.
AllClash reports that the first Dark Elixir Spell is the Poison spell, which will drain health out of defending troops. This will be a lot better than that Lightning Spell, and get rid of troops faster.
Then there the second of three Dark Elixir Spells known as the Earthquake Spell, and it is designed to damage walls and buildings in the game. This spell is not designed to take a certain amount of hit points, but it takes a certain percentage of the buildings' hit points, dealing this amount of damage within a whole area.
The third Dark Elixir Spell is known as the Haste Spell, and it will speed up the player's troops, without a damage boost of a Rage Spell.
In addition to the Dark Spells category, there will be new League Levels, the Titan League and the Legend League. There will also be some changes to all the players above 3,200 Trophies as the game will add a Champions 3 to Champions 1 League as it works with all the other Leagues. Titan 3-1 requires 4,100 Trophies to 4,999 Trophies, and the Legend League is at 5,000 Trophies. So far, no one is Legend as yet.
For those unfamiliar with Clash of Clans, it is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game that uses strategy elements. It was released to iOS in 2012, and quickly because a very huge success. It then came to Android about one year later, and its following continues to grow.
The game is all about building cities and then tearing down other enemy strongholds in order to get gold and elixir required to make your stronghold stronger. The player starts out going against goblins, and then builds a town in order to stop invasions as well as invading those of other players, or clan war.
The game was given a huge spotlight during the Super Bowl of this year. It was a simple ad showing Liam Neeson talking to his mobile device to another player of Clash of Clans in the same threatening tone that he used in the film Taken. It was worth every million that Supercell had to put in just to see it.
The July 2015 update to Clash of Clans, also known as the Summer update, will be taking place on July 1, 2015. Be prepared for a maintenance break before it, and then get ready to use the Dark Spells and all the other new updates.
