Daredevil might not be one of the comic book characters with superpowers that are able to save the world on a grand scale, but he certainly has an interesting life and story that has gripped the imagination of the masses. In fact, Matt Murdock’s life after he lost his sight has been an interesting one in the comic books as well as on the silver screen, and Netflix’s Daredevil series has made it to two seasons already. The second season saw an expansion of different characters from the Marvel universe, including Frank Castle who is known as the Punisher, and Elektra Natchios, who used to be his old flame. Matt managed to do battle on various fronts -- physically and emotionally, in the second season of Daredevil on Netflix, emerging victorious but not without cost. So, what else can we expect from Daredevil Season 3 when it rolls around?

After all, there has been a bunch of cliffhangers left over from Season 2 of Daredevil, which means that there is plenty of potential for a third season to happen. Surely fans would clamor for a third season since so many things remain unresolved. It will take some time before the Man without Fear makes a return on his own Netflix series, as there are other Netflix series that will have to run the gauntlet, so to speak, before that, such as Iron Fist, Luke Cage Season 2, The Punisher, and The Defenders, among others.

While nothing official has been revealed concerning Daredevil Season 3 to date, it does not take a genius to come up with some predictions as to how the third season will shape up, given the cliffhangers of Season 2. While The Hand’s diabolical plot might be no more, their overall objective remains unknown to us viewers, including the mystery of the really, really huge pit.

The Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk remains behind bars at the moment, but this does not mean he has lost any of his authority or powers -- he is the new kingpin in prison, and from there, he will continue to plot for Matt Murdock’s fall. Season 3 would also be a prime opportunity to introduce more villains from the Daredevil canon.

As to when Daredevil Season 3 will be aired, that also remains pretty much in the dark, and speculations are certainly rife. The third season of Daredevil was officially renewed by Netflix during Comic-Con in July this year, and assuming Netflix decides to follow the form book, then the show would most probably make a return to our TV screens some time in March or April next year, or perhaps in summer. The spanner in the works would be Charlie Cox stating not too long ago that The Defenders miniseries, also on Netflix, will begin shooting some time at the end of 2016, with Daredevil being one of the heroes that will make an appearance in the miniseries. Hence, it would not be surprising to see 2018 or later as to when Daredevil makes another appearance. Well, we will simply have to wait and see for the entire Marvel universe Netflix series to pan out eventually.
