After the annoncement of Dark Souls III's April 12 release date (or March 24 for Japan), a host of new gameplay details surfaced on the internet. We've gathered all of the reliable information on the web to give you the latest information about Dark Souls 3 launching and gameplay.

It is expected that the fourth installment in Dark Souls series will be surprising, challenging, and full of stunning environmental and creature design.  Moreover, the game's challenges and quests will be difficult.

In the previous Dark Souls games, the story ended in areas blanketed with ash. Interestingly, the player's journey begins in a place called the Cemetery of Ash, with main character rising from an an unmarked grave.

Just like the Undead Asylum or Things Betwixt, the Cemetery of Ash functions as player's tutorial area. Before leaving, players have to defeat Iudex of Grundyr - a boss character.  To initiate a fight, players must draw the coiled sword from the Iudex's motionless body. According to IGN, Iudex is derived from the Latin for "Judge", which makes sense because the boss have to determine who can leave the cemetery and head to the next location, Firelink Shrine.

Gamers can choose 10 starting classes --the same number with the original title, but two more than the previous Dark Souls. The new classes are the Herald of White and the Academy Assassin---Miracle and Sorcery based classes respectively.

Forbes published the screen shots of new Dark Souls classes. Out of all the classes, the Pyromancer is the most intriguing in terms of looks.  The class appears like a barbarian dressed in furs with feathers on their hairs and armed with big hand ax.

In a game preview published in Game Rant, some players compared Darks Souls 3 to Bloodborne, which was also developed by FromSoftware Studio. In an interview with game director Hidetaka Miyazaki, he admitted that Darks Soul's combat system was inspired by the Bloodborne. Given that Bloodborne is considered as one of the best games last year, expect big from Dark Souls 3.

The same source from Game Rant said both games feature similar thematic and gameplay elements.

With the upcoming release of Dark Souls 3, Bandai Namco has launched Slashy Souls, a free promotional game downloadable on both iOS and Android system. The mobile game features challenging quests, just like Dark Souls series.
