Crissy Moran, an ex-porn star, has recently shared how the Gospel saved her and the changes that it brought to her life.

As an adult actress, Moran had earned over $15,000 a month. However, she left the industry in 2006 and never looked back. The transition point was her rededicating her life to Jesus Christ.

Moran, now 37, was raised by Christian parents, but when she was around 12 her dad starting drinking and being abusive. At age 14, her parents divorced, which was just three years after she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

At age 13, Moran left her dad and move in with her mom, who had remarried. Moran thought her life would be more stable and loving with her mom, but was disappointed and ended up feeling even more alone, for her mom revolved her life around her new husband and had little time for her. At 17, Moran got pregnant.

While Moran's boyfriend said he would marry her but didn't, Moran's mom took her to get an abortion against her will. From that point on, Moran became a relationship addict, where the only time she would feel love was when she was with a man. This search for love led her into the porn industry; the photographers and fans filled that empty space in her heart where men couldn’t, she said.

Moran was in the porn industry for a total of six years, during which she created her own pornography website and performed in over 40 mainstream adult films after moving to California.

In an interview with The Christian Post, Moran said that during her last year in the industry, she was in a serious relationship with a guy. Moran said since she didn’t work with men, she expected him to be loyal. While he was on a business trip, he went to strip clubs and lied to her about it. She got so upset and broken over it, so her boyfriend then convinced her to go where he was filming and meet him.

During her visit, one of his friends got a text message… guys there started passing it around laughing. She asked what they were looking at and they told her it was one of their wives posing topless. She said she got really angry and said she would hope that when she’s married her husband would not be passing around pictures of her topless or nude. Everybody started laughing, but the guy to her left said when I get married I wouldn’t show pictures like that to anyone. This statement shocked Crissy.

Later on that day, the guy who had made that statement and Moran started talking with each other. He asked her what she did for a living. She said modeling, but he kept prying. Eventually, she told him that she did pornography. He said he knew already and that her boyfriend had told the guys and then he asked her if she believed in God. She said yes and he proceeded to preach the Gospel to her.

He told her that God sent His only son to die on the cross so that she would be forgiven of her sins and have ever-lasting life. He told her that she was not dirty and that Christ’s blood washes her clean and she can start all over with a clean slate. She just had to make the choice to follow Him. That day, she decided to leave the industry and the boyfriend.

With that change, Moran had to trust God to provide for her and she said He has. She said she went into a deep healing process which including abstaining from sex and being single for two years.

Moran quoted Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

It has been six years since and Moran has new friends, experiencing healing in her family, and is even engaged to another believer. She is now using her past to help other women who have come from similar pasts. She said that God’s love never ceases and the Bible says He will never leave us or forsake us. He is the definition of love, the love that she has been searching for all her life.

Moran now works with Treasures, a non-profit organization based in San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County that helps women leaving the sex industry. She now lives in Houston at her fiance’s parent’s house, and her finance is living elsewhere until their marriage on May 11, 2013.
