Well, well, what do we have here? It looks like the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V 1.16 update has gone live earlier this morning, specifically on the Sony PS4 as reported by Product Reviews. So far, the folks over at Rockstar have not actually revealed any further information on what will accompany this update for GTA V, but it is normal for Rockstar to upload details concerning their latest update here, which points to the GTA V Title Update 1.32 Notes (for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms), and you can read all about it.
What we do know about the new GTA V 1.16 update is this - those who are on the lookout for new rides will be pleased to take note that they can check out the shiny new set of wheels over at Benny's Motor Works.Among the new cars would be the Karin Sultan as well as the Bravado Banshee, where these will cost you a cool $15,000 and $102,000, respectively - all of it in-game currency, of course, although I don't suppose if the day arrives where such rides are made available in real life, they would retail in a similar price range as well. At least, there is progress from where we last left off slightly more than a week ago, and this bit of information is sure going to keep GTA fans more than happy. After all, a new DLC is somewhat similar to a booster shot for those who are huge fans of the title, and Rockstar is certainly keeping to the adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Apart from that, there are also whispers of a new Drop Zone Adversary mode that will be part of the game, so to have new challenges lined up would certainly have you licking your lips and twiddling your thumbs in anticipation!
In addition, if one were to put two and two together, it might jolly well be the GTA V 1.16 update from Rockstar is a path to laying down the groundwork for a potential Valentine's Day update (aka 'Be My Valentine' update), since details of it have been leaked as well concerning the presence of a new car, which will most probably be a remodeled Roosevelt.
As for GTA 6 (which will most probably be a blockbuster game as well), Kotaku claims that Leslie Benzies, one of the most influential executives over at Rockstar, has decided to call it quits for good after a sabbatical that lasted 17-months long. Rockstar shared with Kotaku, "We can confirm that Leslie Benzies went on sabbatical on September 1, 2014,, and has decided not to return to work for the company. We are very grateful for Leslie's contributions to Rockstar over the last 15 years as we worked together to make some amazing games."
This will no doubt have a direct impact on GTA 6's release date, and will Rockstar be able to fill up the vacuum that has been left behind? As we mentioned before and having shared the same viewpoint as Neurogadget, rumors have been flying around that GTA 6 will arrive on the next generation of consoles - which we can only make guesstimates of them being the Xbox Two and the PlayStation 5, which won't be released anytime too soon. Regardless, when the day arrives, do look forward to 4k gaming in the comfort of your living room as that will most probably be the norm by then.
