Rockstar Games released plenty of updates on the online multiplayer edition of the open world action-adventure game "GTA 5" last year. With the upcoming release of GTA 6, it seems that the game developer is not about the give up the very popular GTA 5 online.
Last year, we reported on the release of the "Executive and Other Criminals" DLC on GTA 5 online. The expansion pack lets players own a Super Yacht, create criminal organizations and live like a VIP. After that, "Lowriders DLC Part 1" became available. The Christmas update features new graphic enhancements, new Tampa muscle car and Beast vs. Slasher Adversary Mode.
The latest updates also brought along several new mansions and safehouses for players of GTA's online edition.
With these new additions, it seems that Rockstar Games is not yet done. Online reports say the "Lowriders DLC Part 2" could provide new masks, clothing, and some fun-filled holiday content. Not only that, the new expansion pack will offer two new weapons: the Double Barrel Shotgun and a Compact Rifle.
As for its release date, International Business Times predicted that Lowriders DLC Part 2 could actually come in the first week of February. The source said February 9 is the safest bet because Rockstar Games usually release DLCs on Tuesdays.
Meanwhile, the much-awaited GTA 6 is said to be under development now. Online reports say the game will become available before 2018, but there are rumors that it will be released earlier. The sixth installment of the GTA series is set to have the biggest map in the franchise and new characters.
Tech experts said Rockstar Games usually takes five years to develop new games, but it seems like GTA 6 will be released earlier compare to previous its editions. As of now, there's no official announcement from the game developer about the launching of the game.
Old and young GTA fans are excited to see the new maps in GTA 6. Rockstar Games officials say players can visit the previous maps of GTA series such as Fierro and Las Venturas in San Andreas.
In a published report from IGN, it says Rockstar North head Leslie Benzies wants to create a new game that allows players to travel back and forth in different GTA cities, such as San Andreas and Vice City.
"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do," Benzies added.
