Apple has once again released an update to iOS with iOS 9.1, very soon after the initial launch of iOS 9.  The purpose of the new version is to fix some bugs left in iOS 9, and this time, Apple has come forth and said what iOS 9.1 will fix.  The new version of iOS also has some features that users will love, including all kinds of emoji as well as Live Photos.  Of course, many are questioning when the iOS 9.1 jailbreak is coming, and it could be later rather than sooner. This is what is known about iOS 9.1 new features, problems, and jailbreaking release date.

Forbes states that Apple has been very forthright about the problems that iOS 9.1 is supposed to be fixing.  Examples of some of the issues include fixing an issue that caused activation errors on some carriers, fixing an issue that prevented some apps from updating from the Apple store, and fixing an issue that prevented users from removing recent contacts from new mail or messages.

As far as the new features go, one thing everyone is talking about is the new emojis.  According to Trusted Reviews, There are approximately 150 emoji characters, actually and they are as diverse as foods or even a middle finger.  Apparently, the middle finger has been wanted for a long time, for some reason.

There is also a new feature for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus owners known as Live Photos  This is a camera mode that allows the user to shoot photos and take a few seconds of video at the same time, which can result in some GIF animations.

As far as when the new version of iOS will be jailbroken, Gotta Be Mobile states that it is "unknown right now."  Apple took care of the iOS 9 jailbreak in the fourth beta of iOS 9.1, which is why Pangu released the jailbreak when they did.  The iOS 9 jailbreak arrived once iOS 9.1 was released, so Pangu released the jailbreak for iOS 9 earlier than usual.

It is possible that the Pangu team is working on the iOS 9.1 right now.  It is also possible that the 9.1 Jailbreak will be released soon, or it might not come at all, and users will need to wait until a later version to get it.  Some of you might recall when iOS 8 came out, there was a jailbreak for 8.1, but there wasn't another successful jailbreak until iOS 8.3 was officially released.  With Apple recently releasing a more rapid release of iOS updates for version 9 and up, this new jailbreak could be a while.

If you are looking to get iOS 9.1 on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, simply go into your Settings > General > Software Update, and the update will be there.  All you need to do is hit "Install", and it will download and launch on the device.   Feel free to leave a comment if your experience is a good one, and anything else that might help iOS 9.1 users.
