Rumors about the iPad Pro 2 are now making rounds online. After Apple released an ad which says iPad Pro is a "computer," many believe its next version will have powerful processor and desktop-like capabilities. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about iPad Pro 2 release date, specs and rumors on the web.

The ad called "What's a Computer?" showcases the unique capabilities and features of the first iPad Pro. In it, the Cupertino-based tech firm markets the high-end tablet as a device capable of running desktop-grade software, making the point that today's computer is about versatility. In an iPad Pro, users can type on a keyboard, and they can also take away the keyboard to use their fingers or doodle with the Apple Pencil.

The ad's narrator also says "Imagine what your computer could do if your computer was an iPad Pro." Interestingly, even on Apple's official website, the company calls the iPad Pro as a "Super Computer" device.

Rumors around the internet claim the next generation of iPad Pro will be powered by A10X processor. Apple is reportedly developing a new processor and it could be finished before the years ends. If these rumors are true, then the launching of iPad Pro 2 could happen in the first quarter of 2017. However, as of now, there's no solid information available.

Interestingly, Apple Insider recently published an alleged leaked photo of iPad Pro 2. An anonymous tipster claims the photo came from a Chinese supplier. It added that the production of tablet will start in September.

The photo shows an iPad with model number MH1C2CD/F. This number is not assigned to any current or discontinued products of Apple, leading some to conclude that it might be the serial for iPad Pro 2.

As of now, industry experts are still verifying the authenticity of the image.

There are two obvious windows where Apple could announce the iPad Pro 2 - either this September, alongside the iPhone 7, or in March 2017.

By looking at Apple's release cycle, it could announce the iPad Pro 2 on March 2017. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro was launched in March 2016. The Cupertino-based tech firm usually updates its tablet models annually, so March 2017 is a logical guess.

As always, readers are advised to take the iPad Pro-related details above with a grain of salt. Apple has not yet confirmed or denied any rumors so far.
