Jamie Hudson Taylor IV Expresses Conviction in Christ Over Loss of Father

By Luke Leung

On behalf of the his family, Jamie Taylor (Jamie Hudson Taylor IV) wrote in a obituary that was posted on CCCOWE’s website commemorating his recently passed away father Rev. James Hudson Taylor III that his father has “fought well, raced to the finish, and kept the faith unwaveringly.”

Taylor titled the obituary “Living to Make a Difference” and wrote that “Dad has shed his earthly tent and now is clothed in the white robe specially reserved for him. Joining the saints of the past, he stands beside Samuel & Maria Dyer, Hudson and Maria Taylor and countless others, offering up eternal praise to the Creator God and Jesus Christ. Death has indeed been swallowed up in victory!”

Quoting the hymn, Finally Home, Taylor wrote that this hymn contains the words that his father often quoted to encourage others facing the frailty and brevity of life.

Expressing his remorse for the loss of his father and with a deep conviction in salvation through Christ, Jamie Taylor wrote, “The lyrics truly speak of the imperishable hope each of us have in Jesus Christ.”
