About 10,000 people, the majority Asian-American youths, flooded the Cow Palace arena in San Francisco Bay area on Sept. 7 to listen to the Jackie Robinson of National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Asian-Americans speak on his reflections since 'Linsanity.'

At the Identity Unleashed Conference, Jeremy Lin, 25, first Taiwanese-American or American of Chinese descent to play in NBA, explained that through 'Linsanity,' a term "made by the world," he realized that even with all the fame, wealth, and approvals from others his deepest desires were not fulfilled. Instead, the ever-increasing desire to prove critics wrongs caused him to lose his joy of playing basketball and his sight of his true identity, that which is founded upon Jesus Christ. After doing some reflections, the Harvard-grad said that he has decided to stop listening to the voices of others and even his own, so he can focus on God's voice and God's definition of who he really is - the children of God bought by the precious blood of the lamb.

The Identity Unleashed evangelistic conference, featuring guest speaker Pastor Francis Chan, music artist Tyler Ward, and Blackford Hill, is the first public event that Lin held in his home town since his rise to international stardom through "Linsanity." It is a tribute to the prayers and support for the Chinese Christian communities throughout the Bay Area.

Following Lin's sharing, Chan shared an insightful message on having the holy fear of God and the call to the audience for repentance and accepting Christ as their savior.
