The latest mobile Operating System Android 6.0 Marshmallow will hit the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 before the year ends.

Recently, Google gadgets received the Android 6 Marshmallow update. Now, Samsung devices are set to obtain the latest operating system. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is one of the lucky handsets that are confirmed to obtain to Android M. There were photos released online that reveal the new design and other enhancements of Samsung's flagship phone.

Gadget enthusiasts said Samsung is in the last stages of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+, among others, as per IB Times report published.

In the leaked photos of Galaxy S6 Android M update, it showed improved camera settings of the phone such as shutter speed control in its Pro mode. With this feature, users can modify the camera's ISO, exposure, white balance, and other manual settings.

Furthermore, the leaked screenshots revealed the Android M based TouchWiz UI on Galaxy S6. The interface has a grey background with blue-colored icons in the Quick Toggles panel under Notification tray. The OS update also makes the icons in the notification look sleeker.

In a report from VC Post, Samsung Electronics will start the development of Anrdoid M update on Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphone next month. The article also stated the Android 6 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is slated on January 2016.

While Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are set to receive the latest operating system in February. For the OS update of the Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy S5, there is no schedule as of now.

When phone manufacturers upgrade their gadgets, the latest devices obtain the new updates, and then it will trickle down to the older ones. However, there are instances where the oldest devices will not get the update at all.

The app will give a list of restaurants nearby with accurate location from Google Maps and restaurant reviews from Yelp.
