"Life is winning in America," says Vice President Mike Pence. Indeed, with abortion rates at an all-time low since 1974, it is a day worthy of a special commemoration and, well, a march. Pence did just that today in participating at and speaking on behalf of the unborn at the 2017 March for Life in Washington. Beaming with unswerving conviction, Vice President Pence added, "Be assured: Along with you we will not grow weary, we will not rest, until we restore a culture of life in America for ourselves and our posterity." These actions designated him the first, highest official ranking to address the Washington March.

And he's not alone. In fact, it would seem that the Trump-Pence duo are absolutely a team in both vision and boldness. Only Wednesday, President Trump addressed the lack of media coverage backing the Life event. In an interview with ABC's David Muir, Trump responded to the obviously slanted challenge, "Could you hear the voices from the women’s march here in Washington?"

"I couldn’t hear them, but the crowds were large," Trump replied, "You’re gonna have a large crowd on Friday, too, which is mostly pro-life people. You’re gonna have a lot of people coming on Friday, and I will say this, and I didn’t realize this, but I was told, you will have a very large crowd of people. I don’t know---as large or larger–--some people say it’s gonna be larger. Pro-life people. And they say the press doesn’t cover them."

Three days into office, President Trump signed an executive order which cut off funding for International Planned Parenthood. He and Republican officials are expressing overwhelming intentions to "limit abortion as much as possible." Indeed, Congressional Republicans are vowing to defund Planned Parenthood even within the states. In addition, they are voicing ambition to take appropriate action in banning abortion after 20 weeks into gestation.

As is to be expected, the Center for Reproductive Rights is not happy. Following Pence's invocation for compassion and respect involving unborn lives, the Center promptly tweeted, "Pence keeps speaking of 'compassion.' True compassion means preventing deaths from unsafe abortion---not bringing them back. Pence says he shows 'respect for the dignity and worth of every person.' What about women?"

Despite the attempts to intimidate and challenge him, President Trump remains constant in his support, tweeting only hours ago: "The #MarchForLife is so important. To all of you marching --- you have my full support!"

This is a day in which all Christians and supporters of life should follow Mr. Pence's beaming. To say the least, it is a monumental and exciting time, with a promise of hope and victory hanging thick in the air. May God bless these stalwart supporters of life; indeed, it would seem, He has already blessed America with them.
