It is pretty obvious that Marvel is ruling the screens, and Netflix is helping with that with series like Daredevil and Jessica Jones.  As most know, these shows are taking together in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but with a darker twist.  It also is not over as shows like Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and due to be released, before these characters all join together for The Defenders

What is interesting when it comes to Season 3 of Daredevil, is that Kevin Smith could be on tap to direct at least a few episodes.  The filmmaker of Dogma, Mallrats, Clerks, and more had actually written Daredevil comics, and something like this would be a good fit for the director, according to Screen Rant

Speaking of creators, there is a rumor that some other series is under development that is Marvel-related.  A separate article on Screen Rant talks about Scarlet, which was published by Marvel's Icon imprint.  The series is about Scarlet Rue to begins a second American revolution, and it could be developed by the people that did Jessica Jones.

So far, Daredevil and Jessica Jones are the first two in Marvel's Netflix universe plan.  There really hasn't been much crossover between the two storylines, except for the character of "The Night Nurse" (Rosario Dawson).  These two characters are actually quite different in their personalities and how they fight crime, and Jessica Jones has more of a supernatural twist to it.

Fortunately, the writers of Jessica Jones were smart enough to introduce the next show in the series with Luke Cage.  Mike Colter will play the title character who will combat the evils of crime in Harlem, but it isn't known if Jessica Jones and Daredevil characters will interact with him.  It is pretty difficult to plan this, but if Netflix and Marvel are smart, which they are, they will probably introduce Iron Fist during Luke Cage

After all, these two crimefighters of Power Man (an alias of Luke Cage) and Iron Fist were partners in the comics.  Iron Fist is probably going to take the supernatural to a higher degree as this character has his power rooted in mystical martial arts.  By the way, there was a lot of mystical martial arts in Daredevil Season 2.

It is possible that all of these elements with ninjas and The Hand will show up once all four shows blend together for The Defenders.  The one wild card is The Punisher, who just got a green light on his show, so he could make an appearance.

Honestly, Netflix and Marvel really better have a good plan with these characters.  So far, these shows don't tie together very well, so something that is a common thread on these shows have to tie them together, but what will that be?
