Minecraft Pocket Edition is set to release a bunch of new additions in the next couple of weeks. Today's reports say the 0.15.0 update will introduce new resources and cross-platform feature. Now, here's what is currently known about Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.15 update and latest about hacked Minecraft accounts.
The update 0.15.0 will bring new resource pack for players. Not only that, the update will introduce new Horses mob, Archer mob, Raw Mutton, and Cooked Mutton.
Neaurogadget has reported the upcoming update will feature Pistons and Sticky Pistons. These are Redstone-related blocks that can move other blocks when given a power source. Compare to Pistons; the Sticky one can pull an object that it is attached to.
Furthermore, the 0.15 update will feature customization options. Players will be able to add new music, upgrade models and adjust in-game animation. Some of the item additions include Horse Spawn Egg, Command Block, Fire Charges, Name Tags and Leads. There's also an anti-aliasing option for Windows 10 and VR users.
One of the biggest additions in the game's pocket edition is Minecraft Realms, which is a cross-platform server renting service that will let players from a variety of platforms play together. Hence, Minecraft players who are under Android system, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows 10 will be able to meet and play with each other.
Interestingly, Minecraft players can still get the Android Realms alpha. It is reported that more than 700,000 users are participating in the beta program. Just visit this link to sign up. Take note that the alpha will be closed on Monday.
In related Minecraft news, BBC reported millions of Minecraft accounts were hacked. Hackers reportedly stole email addresses and passwords. The analysis suggests users' passwords were very weak, allowing hackers to steal information easily.
Estimates show around 7 million accounts from Minecraft Pocket Edition have been compromised. These accounts are using Lifeboat's service for Minecraft Pocket Edition.
To address the issue, Lifeboat asked its users to change their passwords immediately, as per report from Motherboard. It also ensured its users that the service is now using stronger hashing algorithms.
Lifeboat is a service for persistent servers and customized multiplayer games for Minecraft Pocket Edition. For players who do not use the companion app, they are not affected by the data breach.
As of now, the launching of Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.15 update isn't yet known as the official versions on Amazon Appstore, Google Play, iOS App Store and Windows Phone Store are all 0.14.2.
