The all-new characters of Mortal Kombat X pack 2 have been revealed at the recent Game Awards 2015. Moreover, the game developers hinted that the next set of characters would be on a story-based DLC. Now, here's the latest update about the Mortal Kombat X.
When asked if Kombat gamers will have a story-based DLC in the next update, Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon said,"We've talked about it. It's a lot of data, a lot of content, but that's absolutely part of a long-term plan. People really tend to love our story modes, so, to be able to give them new content is always something we're hoping to work out," The recent interview was published in IGN.
Boon and his team are also thinking about many different characters to add to the game. These characters include The Terminator and Michael Myers from Halloween.
For the latest in-game characters, Slash Gear gave interesting information. The Pack 2 characters are Bo Rai Cho, a classic Mortal Kombat character, Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Xenomorph from Alien, and Tri-Borg, a new "Kombatant" and a combination of Sektor, Cyrax and Robot Smoke.
These set of characters were presented at the recent Dec. 3 Games Awards.
The second expansion pack of Mortal Kombat is set to release next year. The first set of DLC characters included Jason Voorhees, Predator, Tanya, and Tremor.
Meanwhile, rumors said the new downloadable content might also appear in a new live action series. News about the alleged movie-game connection started when "Mortal Kombat Generations" director Garrett Warren responded to a question via Twitter asking about the developments of the live action series.
Warren answered by revealing that the series is scheduled to make its debut early next year. Coincidentally, the launch of Mortal Kombat X Pack 2 is also set to release in the first quarter of 2016.
"@alexcampy89 it is scheduled to be released early next year," Garret Warren posted on Twitter.
The movie-game connection is not yet confirmed, but this might the explanation why Bo Rai Cho and Tri-Borg were included in Kombat Pack 2. Latinos Post reported that some gamers were upset because of the inclusion of these characters in the upcoming DLC.
Nevertheless, Mortal Kombat X got 8.4 out of 10 in a review from IGN. The reviewer said the game has much-improved animations. Pokes feel more useful and walk speeds are now snappier.Moreover, the awesome new variation system that lets players choose three abilities makes the game exciting.
