The 21st Annual Movie Guide Awards has announced the winners of $100,000 Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Movie and Television: “Les Miserables” and “The American Bible Challenge.”

While Hugh Jackman, who played Jean Valjean in “Les Miserables”, was nominated for The Grace Award, Andy Garcia from “For Greater Glory” was the winner for movie and Kyla Kenedy from “Raising Izzie” for television.
Each year around the time the Oscar is held, Movieguide, an international family guide to movies and television shows, would award its six awards, including the Grace Awards, Faith and Freedom Awards, The Epiphany Prizes, The Kairos Prize, and Friess Free Enterprise Prize.
The Movieguide’s judges select the winner of Epiphany Award based upon its moral and spiritual principles, which tell a story that is redemptive and inspiring to the audience.
The Grace Awards for inspiring acting in movies and television is awarded to an actor or actress who exemplifies God’s grace and mercy through their performance.
The cash prize awards are sponsored by grants from Sir John Templeton and John Templeton Foundation. In addition to the awards, Movieguide’s founder and publisher, Dr. Ted Baehr presented his annual statistical analysis that showed year after year family-friendly, spiritually uplifting content yield the highest profitability.
Movieguide is an advocacy organization that provides a bridge between the entertainment industry and the traditional family audience that comprises of more than 65 percent of the American population.
