One thing about games based in Major League sports is that you can always count on a new version every year.  Of course, this is the case for NBA 2K17, and this one is arriving in September, a few months after the recent NBA Finals for 2016  It is possible to pre-order this game now, if you believe that the bonuses are worth it.  This is what is known about NBA 2K17 release date, pre-order information, as well as the Legend Edition

As far as changes that are going to be made in this game, Visual Concepts are changing the way some of the athletes in the game are rated based on the risks that they take.  For example, Golden State Warriors Steph Curry, like how he makes free throws that other players can't.  This could be the biggest change to be made in the game.  That, and a recent report from High Snobiety saying that the Adidas YEEZY, Kanye's signature shoe will be available for the virtual players.

We have previously reported on how there will be an NBA 2K17, the Legend Edition, featuring Kobe Bryant.  The price of this edition is $79.99 on pre-orders at Best Buy and Gamestop, and this special edition will feature some physical items like a limited edition Kobe poster, two Kobe Panini trading cards, as well as a Black Mamba game controller skin.  It will also feature some digital content such as 30,000 of Virtual Currency, a My TEAM Bundle (with 3 packs of guaranteed Kobe limited use card), Nike Kobe 11 retirement shoes, Kobe #8 Mitchel and Ness Jersey, and a Kobe hoodie.

For those interested in pre-ordering NBA 2K17, not the Legend Edition, that is a possibility. For the pre-order, the buyer can get some free extras like a MyTeam Bundle with 3 packs of digital cards.  One of these cards is a guaranteed to be Paul George.  In addition to that, there will be 5,000 in Virtual Currency to use in the game.

Gotta Be Mobile states that it is available at GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy and pretty much any other retailer of video games.  What is interesting is that the game will be available on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as the current generation of PS4 and Xbox One.  You should be able to purchase it for the usual new game price of $59.99.

Like NBA 2K16, there will be an Early Tip-Off Weekend.  If you purchase NBA 2K17 before it is launched, then you can pick up a physical copy the weekend before the game's actual release.  So if you pre-order the game in its full, users can pick up their physical copy from GameStop on September 16 instead of September 20.
