The Sacramento Kings are coming the NBA regular season with a roster packed with undeniably talented basketball stars and a fired up coach who will rest at nothing to finally take home the crown. With the addition of former Boston Celtics star Rajon Rondo to the Sacramento Kings roster, the squad led by DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay are undoubtedly gearing up for an NBA final championship run that will see the Golden State Warriors dethroned in no time. To further improve the already star-studded roster of the Sacramento Kings, George Karl added yet another basketball star to hopefully contribute to the depth of the NBA team: Ben McLemore.

"The Sacramento Kings have picked up the fourth-year option on Ben McLemore," reported James Ham of CSN Bay Area via social media. The move of the Sacramento Kings and the subsequent agreement reached between the NBA team and Ben McLemore will make the 22-year-old basketball star a restricted free agent by the summer of 2017. Sports analysts noted that this could spell a promising career for Ben McLemore in the Sacramento Kings roster as the NBA team only made the same move with DeMarcus Cousins - the undisputed face of the basketball franchise. If the precedent is to be used as a reference in terms of a career in the Sacramento Kings roster, then Ben McLemore could prove to be yet another rising star in the NBA team's locker room.

"I want to continue to work on it," shared Ben McLemore, referring to his defense skills and the plans he has to continue to contribute to the Sacramento Kings roster. The NBA star went on to state, "Not just on my offensive game, but my defensive game, too. Watching film, figuring out different guys' tendencies, how they play on the floor, learn from that and take it out on the floor and work on my defense from there." Ben McLemore will enter his third NBA season this year.

The Sacramento Kings star was the seventh draft pick during the 2013 NBA Draft. Ben McLemore managed to rake in an average of 12.1 points per basketball game in the 82 matches he played in the hardwood court in the previous year. His shooting percentage was at 43.7 percent, in which his three-point range is recorded at 35.8 percent.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings are looking at another leader in the form of Rajon Rondo. As a veteran, the former Boston Celtics star is taking on the role of guiding the younger players and serving as a guide to DeMarcus Cousins. With the belief that one of the key things that need improvement in the Sacramento Kings roster is the NBA team's communication skills, Rajon Rondo is leading by example. "He's a guy who just talks, talks, talks and tries to make the team better," shared Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay. He added, "That's what you need out of your point guard."
