The upcoming episode of NCIS Season 13, titled "Double Trouble," will see Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) pair up to solve a case baffling the team. With the director of NCIS in tow, Gibbs is tasked to help clear the name of Vance as a former agent appears to be determined in besmirching the name of the official.

Fans and followers of NCIS would know that Vance and Gibbs do not constantly see eye to eye, the with former always perceived to be too conscious of his public image - a perception that had restrained and his NCIS team to pursue leads in previous investigations. With the case taking a more personal turn as it involves the career and life of Vance, the NCIS crew are forced to let the bureau director in on their routine.

While it is yet to be revealed how the pairing of Gibbs and Vance will pan out, the NCIS Season 13 trailer for "Double Trouble" showed Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum) issuing a warning to the NCIS director presumably on what to expect when working with the newly healed team leader. NCIS Season 13 Episode 4, "Double Trouble," will air on October 13.

In the said trailer, Vance could be seen explaining the roles in his partnership with Gibbs in the particular case. According to the NCIS director, he is the "brains" of the team up while Gibbs is the "quick draw." Senior NCIS Special Agent Anthony "Tony" DiNozzio (Michael Weatherly), along with NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and NCIS Probationary Agent Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham), will be seen exhausting all measures to clear the name of Vance as well. Even forensic scientist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) could be expected to work extremely hard at achieving the goal in "Double Trouble."

Meanwhile, NCIS Season 13 is promised to re-introduce romance in the life of DiNozzio. With the confirmation of the return of Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson) in NCIS Season 13, the two former lovers are anticipated to finally settle their unfinished business. It could be recalled that Benoit broke up with DiNozzio when she found that he is an NCIS agent. Following the death of her father, whom DiNozzio had been following and investigating throughout his relationship with Benoit, their romance further imploded and all hope of any reconciliation had been lost. With the return of Benoit though, it looks like she and DiNozzio might have another shot at rebuilding their lost love.
