New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady might be up for trade due to issues with the NFL.

The New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers are facing off on Friday (August 28) for Week 3 of the 2015 NFL preseason games. The match will start at 11:30 am (MHT) at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. While both NFL teams take pride of their records this preseason, fans and followers of the games predict that the Carolina Panthers will emerge victorious in the match against the New England Patriots.

Bearing in mind that the Patriots have yet to resolve the issue on the "Deflategate" scandal that has NFL quarterback Tom Brady battling it out with Roger Goodell, the fact that the Carolina Panthers have a very healthy and focused Cam Newton in the roster makes the latter NFL team formidable opponents. However, the Patriots pulled a victory 26 - 24 over the New Orleans Saints during the second week of the NFL preseason games. Apart from Patriots Tom taking on 13 yards in two of five passes, the NFL team saw the rise of Jimmy Garoppolo who completed 28 of the 33 passes and recorded 269 yards.

In addition, the entry of former Indianapolis Colts star Reggie Wayne in the Patriots locker room further bolstered the chances of winning of the Tom Brady-led team. While it remains to be seen whether or notWayne will be playing against the Panthers on Friday, the decision of the NFL star to move from the Indianapolis Colts to the Patriots has caused quite a stir in the NFL community.

It could be recalled that the entire debacle known today as the "Deflategate" scandal all began with the match of the Patriots against the Colts. Hence, the move of Wayne to the Patriots undoubtedly touched a nerve in his former NFL team. Branded as a "traitor" by a number of fans and followers of the Indianapolis Colts, it would be quite exciting how Reggie Wayne intends to block out the harsh criticisms and prove that he is indeed a better fit in the New England Patriots than in the Indianapolis Colts

"I'm excited, I really am," shared Wayne, referring to his recent signing with the Patriots, according to NESN. He added, "[Tom Brady]'s one of the best to ever do it. Tom has definitely welcomed me here. It's outstanding. Not everybody can say they've had this journey that I've had, so I'm excited about it. I'm looking forward to it."

As for the Panthers, the NFL team boast of a recent win 31 - 30 over the Miami Dolphins during the second week of the preseason matches. Carolina Panthers starting quarterback Cam Newton completed four out of 10 passes for 42 yards. Meanwhile, Joe Webb covered 131 years and completed 12 of 17 passes along with one touchdown.
