On Aug. 26, the New Orleans Saints will face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for Week 3 of the NFL preseason. But, given the Saints' performances during their last two preseason games, the New Orleans franchise might have a hard time securing a win over the Steelers.

As noted by Canal Street Chronicles, the Saints got a rough start at the preseason. During their first two games, spectators saw how the New Orleans organization struggled with turnovers. Although the upcoming game will be held in front of their home crowd, there is still a chance that the Saints will be able to play confidently in front of their fans and correct these mistakes.

Still though, the danger of falling back on this mental errors still exists is looming over the team. Another factor that could affect the team's performance is that fact that the New Orleans franchise has never won a preseason game in two years. This could significantly affect their mentality as they enter the upcoming, and future games for that matter. They can also use it to put positive pressure on themselves to push the team to win.

They would certainly need this if they want to beat the Steelers, a team that is regarded as one of the best in the league. The Saints can certainly expect that the Pittsburgh franchise will be bringing its six-time Super Bowl championship experience in the upcoming game.

As for the players of the Saints, they are well aware of the implications of the preseason's games. According to The Advocate, these games are describes as dress rehearsals for the upcoming season because it gives teams the opportunity to iron out the kinks in their roster.

"It's probably the closest we're going to get to a regular season game," linebacker Stephone Anthony said.

The upcoming game between the Steelers and the Saints will kick off at 7:00 pm on Friday. It will be streamed through the NFL's Game Pass. If the subscription service's membership fee is too expensive for some, they can opt for its seven-day free trial. They can also tune in to the various local radio stations in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida to monitor the game.
