Google's flagship Nexus 6 smartphone is now available for retail purchase from Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile with U.S. Cellular's and Verizon Wireless' availability thought to be coming soon.

The Nexus 6, manufactured by Motorola and featuring Google's own Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, was first unveiled on October 15 of this year with pre-order availability beginning on October 29. Although a formal release date was never announced by the tech company, Google allowed each carrier to make their own revelations on release dates after making the code available to them on November 3.

The Nexus 6 features a 2.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor with 3 GB of RAM and either 32 or 64 GB of storage. It's the first smartphone to come loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop standard, and will be the first Nexus device to support T-Mobile's wi-fi calling some time next year.

For those who pre-ordered on the Google Play store, word is that many are already receiving their phones in the mail. But for those looking to get a contracted phone to take advantage of the lower price with a two-year cell carrier contract, your time is here... mostly.

Sprint

Sprint was the first U.S. carrier to make the Nexus 6 available on November 14. You can get the phone for zero down and $29 a month through the Sprint Easy Pay plan, or grab it under contract for $299. Sprint is offering the 32 GB Midnight Blue model with the contract (or off contract for $696), but the 64 GB model is not available through the carrier.

AT&T

The carrier first stated that orders would ship on November 18th after a pre-order period last week, and some customers are confirming that they're receiving their AT&T Nexus 6 phones in the mail. With a two-year contract, the AT&T phone runs $249 and $682 if you decide to go off-contract.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile was the first to give an actual ship date on the Nexus 6, although they missed it by a week. Originally slated for November 12, the T-Mobile Nexus 6 phones began shipping on November 19 with the 32 GB version available in select T-Mobile retail stores and the 64 GB version only available through the company's website. The 32 GB version is available for $649 and the 64 GB version is available for $699 off contract or zero down through T-Mobile's payment plan with a two-year contract.

U.S. Cellular

U.S. Cellular has yet to offer any information on the Nexus 6's release date or price, so we'll keep our eyes peeled for more.

Verizon

Interestingly enough, we haven't heard anything from the country's largest cell carrier about the Nexus 6, either. A post on the Google Play store has some Verizon users worried because it omits Verizon completely, although Google has already said that the Nexus 6 will release on Verizon. "The Nexus 6 will also be available in AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular stores later in November," the Google Play Store says. "Please check with your local carrier for more information."

Best Buy is the only non-carrier retail store that is carrying the Nexus 6 and reports have stated that the product is already on the shelves of select stores. Alternatively, you could also purchase the phone straight from the manufacturer through the Motorola Mobility online store, which is said to have the Nexus 6 in stock at the time of this writing.
