The Carolina Panthers are one of the six teams that have yet to experience defeat this NFL season. While the Cam Newton squad failed to garner much fanfare during the NFL preseason, it looks like the Carolina Panthers are presenting themselves this regular season as one of the contenders for the Super Bowl. With a 4 - 0 record at this point, the Carolina Panthers are showing off the gameplays and strategies the NFL team cooked up during the offseason. Moreover, the Carolina Panthers star player Cam Newton is poised to be a strong candidate as this NFL season's MVP.

Although it is still too early to tell, fans and followers of the Carolina Panthers and other members of the football community are eager to point out that Cam Newton actually possesses the abilities and skills of an MVP.

"He's definitely playing at a very, very high level," disclosed ESPN analyst Ryan Clark via a phone interview, referring to the notable performance of Carolina Panthers star Cam Newton this NFL season. The sports analyst went on to state, "He's making good decisions, making good throws, running at the right time, picking up first downs, and doing everything you want from a guy to carry a team. Really, you could make a strong case Cam is playing MVP football right now."

The sentiments of Clark were echoed by other sports commentators who believe that the undefeated status of the Carolina Panthers should be attributed heavily to the efforts of Cam Newton. In fact, the absence of Kelvin Benjamin in the Carolina Panthers roster this NFL season further highlights such level of skill by Cam Newton.

Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers appear to be making moves to ensure that the football stars in its active roster are all healthy and readily available this NFL season. Hence, the Carolina Panthers opted to re-sign Wes Horton to its 53-man roster. To make room for Horton in the Carolina Panthers roster, the NFL team decided to release David Foucault. These moves had been pegged as one of the more confusing decisions of the NFL team as Horton was released over the weekend to make room for Foucault. It could be recalled that entrance of Foucault in the Carolina Panthers roster was prompted by the injury incurred by offensive lineman Amini Silatolu the previous week.

The Carolina Panthers will be going head to head against the Super Bowl runners up Seattle Seahawks on Week 6 of the regular NFL games. The football match between Cam Newton's squad and Russell Wilson's group will take place at the CenturyLink Field on October 18 (Sunday) at 4:05 pm ET.
