Sony PlayStation Plus Vote to Play is back Sony

The end of September might be more than a week away, but this does not mean we cannot start to pick out rumors and whispers concerning what titles will be made available to the masses on PlayStation Plus program when October rolls around.

PlayStation Universe might have a few clues with their connections, citing that a major title that would finally make the cut being "Killzone: Shadow Fall." Now that bit of news should be enough to get you quaking in your boots, as this is a triple-A title. With Killzone: Shadow Fall having amassed a fan base in the past two years plus, you can be sure that the numbers will grow even more if it makes it for the PlayStation Plus October cut. A little bit of trivia: Killzone: Mercenary made it to the PlayStation Plus free games list before, albeit for the PS Vita.

What else is brewing? ThisGenGaming is pretty certain that Sony is on the lookout for a tie-in game when the PlayStation Plus October 2016 games list is revealed. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is more or less a given in this particular case. The definitive edition of Tomb Raider is also a classic triple-A game if you don’t already know it, and it should serve its purpose well as a refresher course for those who are looking forward to the "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition" when that title arrives on the Sony PS4 in October. ThisGenGaming did also mention Killzone: Shadow Fall in the same breath, citing it as a fan favorite that should not be overlooked.

Sony has so far been rather quiet in terms of announcing what are the upcoming games for the new month. So far, the Japanese company has announced its upcoming PS Plus games range mere days before the next month, and with fans of the Sony PS4 console drawing up comparisons with what Microsoft's Xbox Games with Gold offers, there is no doubt as to which of the two emerges as the clear winner. Xbox Games with Gold tends to have a better free games roster each month, never mind that Microsoft too, performs a last minute announcement.

Another potential release might be Nights of the Azure, which is an action role-playing game that hails from Koei Tecmo. Available for free in the Land of the Rising Sun this month, it was first revealed for the PS4, its predecessor and the PS Vita last year. If it makes it to the list this October, then the global reach can be said to be complete.

As for Knack, you can be sure that many look forward to it on PlayStation Plus each month, making it one of the most popular potential PlayStation Plus titles that have never made the cut to date. Still, hope springs eternal, and one can always keep one's fingers crossed. With rumors of Knack 2 being developed, who are we to say that Knack will not make an appearance this time around?

Bound by Flame is a fantasy RPG that debuted a couple of years ago, and if it appears in October's PlayStation Plus, it should take up a good 40 hours or more of your time. Of course, reading up reviews on it would not send you scurrying to download it, but it is decent enough a title to occupy your time.

What would you like to see appear on the PlayStation Plus list this October?
