Are you a massive Pokemon GO fan? If you have answered in the affirmative, then be prepared to learn all about what the Pokemon GO 0.53.1 update is all about. While the surface does not really have anything compelling that will make you feel as though this is the best update for the Augmented Reality (AR) title that took the world by storm last year based on minor fixes in its text as well as changes in the game’s distance tracking, what is more interesting would be the hidden bits. It seems that the Pokemon GO 0.53.1 update does carry some interesting references in the code itself. Some of these will include over 35 new moves to enjoy, Unown forms, as well as Evolution items, among others.
Many people did clamor for more information on Gen 2 for Pokemon GO, and the Pokemon GO 0.53.1 update might just be able to fill up this particular niche -- at least for a while. The Silph Road is a Pokemon GO-themed group that goes through some rather thorough data mining efforts, and have come up with information gold this time around in the Pokemon GO 0.53.1 update. So far, they have made mention of many new features for the game in the source code, referencing 38 new moves that have not made its way into the game before. These new moves will be used by many Generation 2 Pokemon -- Pokemon that have yet to debut in Pokemon GO.
Some of the new Quick Moves which were referenced in Pokemon GO‘s data comprise of Counter, Powder Snow, Charge Beam, Volt Switch, Dragon Tail, Infestation, Struggle Bug, Astonish, Iron Tail, Fire Spin, Bullet Seed, Extrasensory, Air Slash, Hex, and Snarl.
Other than Quick Moves, there are also Charge Moves to consider. These new Charge Moves which were uncovered within the game’s codes include the likes of Close Combat, Dynamic Punch, Focus Blast, Aurora Beam, Wild Charge, Zap Cannon, Avalanche, Brave Bird, Sky Attack, Sand Tomb, Rock Blast, Silver Wind, Night Shade, Gyro Ball, Heavy Slam, Overheat, Grass Knot, Energy Ball, Futuresight, Mirror Coat, Outrage, Crunch, and Foul Play.
Not only that, The Silph Road team did mention that many of the moves mentioned above already have their graphic assets included in the Pokemon GO Update 0.53.1 data. The thing is, these assets have yet to be “unleashed”, which could mean that Niantic is simply teasing us, waiting for the opportune time to reveal a new update down the road that will “unlock” all of these new features and assets. By then, we should be able to enjoy the presence of many more new Gen 2 Pokemon.
There will also be new Pokemon “forms” that are set to arrive -- as the codes point to a standout creature known as Unown. Unown carries the distinction of being one of the most unique types of Pokemon in the market, thanks to its extreme malleability in terms of its forms as well as attributes. Some of these references discovered are UNOWN A, UNOWN B, UNOWN C, UNOWN Z, UNOWN QUESTION MARK, and UNOWN EXCLAMATION POINT. While the Pokemon GO fever has died down tremendously, there is still a sizeable base of players who would look forward to each new update release.
