Fans of the Pokémon have been involved in the video games, comics, animated series, movies, and all sorts of aspects to this franchise that is decades old. They have also been looking forward to the long-awaited follow-up to Pokémon X and Y with Pokémon Z. A recent development for a new mobile game called Pokémon GO has given them even more to look forward to. However, the release dates of Pokémon Z and Pokémon GO are still yet to be announced, but it is possible that they are imminent.
According to the Latinos Post, Pokémon Z is going to focus on a legendary Pokémon named Zygarde, which is a deliberate relation to zygote, a cell created by fertilization. In fact, Zygarde starts off in a cell form, then develops into a core form, and goes into a 10 percent form looking like a dog. It then gets into a 50 percent form where a Pokémon takes on a serpent-like form after absorbing other cells to create half of its body. After that, it has gathered 100 percent of its cells, making it an effective protector of the environment. It is said that Zygarde will be more powerful than Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal of Pokémon X and Y fame.
Much of what is revealed about Zygarde could happen in the December issue of CoroCoro Magazine, as the November Issue showed a preview of a blue-gemmed Zygard Core, according to iDigitalTimes. There are reports that perhaps this issue, which has been in the spotlight with Pokémon Z games expectations, might just report on the Pokémon Z or the Pokémon X, Y, and Z film.
As for Pokémon GO, there is a lot of excitement building up for this game, but there hasn't been any settlement on the actual release date yet. There were rumors stating that this game would be released this year, but now rumors are pointing to February 27, 2016. Why that specific date? The Pokémon franchise is decades-old, which means that they would want to give something to their players as a gift around their twentieth anniversary.
Many Pokémon fans would love to play a game where they are on their mobile devices and using real-world location information within their neighborhoods in the context of this game, according to Day Herald. Players will also be able to communicate with other players to battle and trade Pokémon.
In other words, players will be able to run around and pick up "pocket monsters" (where the name of Pokémon is derived from) and then train and fight them. It's like putting reality into the Pokémon fantasy. The location-based game completely opens up the world of gaming and gets players off of the couch. Best of all, this game is going to be available on iOS and Android, making it easy for newer players to get involved, even if they aren't long-time Pokémon enthusiasts. Pokémon GO is also going to integrate Bluetooth into the mobile devices, and they will communicate with a Pokémon GO Plus, a wrist wearable that looks like a Pokémon Ball.
Yes, Pokémon fans have a lot to look forward to in the next year, assuming that there isn't more information about Pokémon Z showing up next month. With Pokémon GO, there will be more revealed as it gets to revealing its official release date, so Pokémon fans should stay tuned.
