‘Shark Week 2016’ on the Discovery Channel: TV Schedule, Start Times, Shows, How to Livestream or Watch Online

As stated before, next week is going to be the big event for the Discovery Channel that is known as "Shark Week".  Apparently, this is one of the network's big draws, and this what is known about what kind of shows to expect, as well as a TV Schedule, with Start Times, and what this shark-related shows will be about, as well as how to watch online or livestream.

These are all the shark-related shows, according to the Discovery Channel TV Schedule.  For a creature that Jaws described as being able to just "swim and eat", there is a lot of diversity in programming for next week. 

Sunday, June 26

Tiger Beach at 8 p.m.

This will focus on the world's leading tiger shark expert, Dr. Neil Hammerschlag.  He will talk about the "trifecta of a tiger shark's science", with answers gained from tagging and tracking 40 individuals on Tiger Beach.

The Return of Monster Mako at 9 p.m.

This is about some marine biologists that track a thousand-pound mako shark, also known as a "grander". 

Isle of Jaws at 10 p.m.

This one is about a group of male sharks that disappeared from the Neptune Islands off South Australia, only to turn up on an uncharted island.  You can even immerse yourself in the adventure with some VR by using the DiscoveryVR application. 


Monday, June 27

Shallow Water Invasion at 8 p.m.

This is the story of marine biologists in a self-propelled shark cage in shallow waters at night. 

Jaws of the Deep at 9 p.m.

The REMUS SharkCam team will find the world's largest great white shark, Deep Blue. 

Sharks Among Us at 10 p.m.

Imagine a peaceful ecosystem where sharks and people live in peace, this is just what Dr. Craig O'Connell will talk about. 

Tuesday, June 28

Wrath of the Great White Serial Killer at 9 p.m.

This will focus on why great white sharks are travelling to the Pacific Northwest. 

Air Jaws: Night Stalker at 10 p.m.

Shark biologist Neil Hammerschlag is back to talk about how great white sharks hunt at night.  This is narrated by Lena Headey from Game of Thrones. 

 

Wednesday, June 29

Deadliest Shark at 9 p.m.

This is where two marine biologists go looking for rare oceanic white tip sharks, to see if they deserve the reputation as "World's Deadliest Shark". 

Sharks vs. Dolphins: Face Off at 10 p.m.

These two creatures of the water have a...complicated relationship.  There is a reason why sharks attack these dolphins, and it is more complicated than you would think. 

Thursday, June 30

Nuclear Sharks at 9 p.m.

Philippe Cousteau, grandon of Jacques Cousteau, look to Bikini Atoll, site of nuclear bomb tests, to see how the sharks have survived sicne then. 

Jungle Shark at 10 p.m.

Marine biologists travel to the rainforests of Costa Rica in order to see their relationships with the crocodiles there. 

Friday, July 1

Shark Bait at 9 p.m.

Cape Cod is a place for seals, but it looks like the sharks are hunting them down.  How do the sharks know to get their food there, and why do they go there? 

Blue Serengeti at 10 p.m.

Marine biologist Barbara Block is investigating the hidden world of the Blue Serengeti, where white sharks of California will be investigated with the best of modern technology.

This will feature highlights from the week. 

Sunday, July 3

The Killing Games at 9 p.m. 

This is a show that will focus on a location in south Australia where great white sharks are coming out of the water to snatch seals from the shore.
