At Comic-Con last week, Sleepy Hollow showrunners released a Season 2 clip exclusive to those attending the conference. The second seasion will premiere on Monday, Sept. 22 on Fox.

The Bank Scene

In this scene, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) visits the local bank with police-partner Abbie (Nicole Beharie). Throughout the first season, Ichabod often had many unflattering things to say about modern U.S. society. So, it comes as no surprise that he has distaste for banks.

"Thomas Jefferson once said banking establishments are even more dangerous than standing armies," Ichabod says.

Disdain then turns to disgust when our hero spots a pen attached to the countertop. A smiling banker walks up to greet him. Ichabod coldly replies, "These people entrust you with their fortune, yet you cannot entrust them with a simple inkwell?"

When the banker tries promoting a credit card, Ichabod remarks how the banks have turned America into a nation of debtors. Abbie then leads Ichabod to a room that has a safe-deposit box sitting on a table. Inside the box is the jar that contains the Skull of Death.

Graveyard Scene

The next clip shows the two protagonists performing a ritual in the graveyard to save Katrina. Ichabod and Abbie try reciting incantations to the skull that was recovered from the bank. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Katrina is being held captive by none other than Benjamin Franklin. Back at the cemetery, the ceremony is interrupted by the sudden arrival of the Headless Horseman. At about the same time, the skull comes to life.

It has been confirmed that former West Wing star Timothy Busfield will play Franklin as a series regular. In May, Sleepy Hollow executive producer Mark Goffman told Entertainment Weekly that the show will expand with many new characters that include the historical founding father.

"Benjamin Franklin is great because we are all familiar with so many of his [real-life] contributions and now we get to pull back the veil a bit," Goffman said. "This man founded the printing press and was responsible for so many [innovations] and now we find out he's involved in this secret war and that Crane had a relationship with him."
