The Star Wars cash cow is simply one that is endless. The franchise continues to grow, and with newer movie titles being planned for release in the years to come, you can be sure that the possibilities to make even more money will be there. There does not seem to be Star Wars fatigue in sight, and for those of you who would like to enjoy some Star Wars action on the move are certainly not short of mobile games that bear the franchise’s hallmark. In fact, there is yet another title on the way which should garner the interest of many, being known as Star Wars: Force Arena.

What do we know about Star Wars: Force Arena at this moment? We do know that Netmarble Games are the ones behind this title, and they are also the creators of the Android FPS (First Person Shooter) called Final Shot. Working with Lucasfilm, Netmarble Games would clearly be working on the Star Wars: Force Arena title that is slated for release on both Android and iOS platforms.

We are all competitive by nature to a certain extent, and hence, a Player VS Player (PVP) title will certainly be the right “hook” to draw in interested gamers. Star Wars: Force Arena is shaping up to be a real-time (PVP) compact title, allowing you to lay the smack down against other gamers in real-time combat regardless of where you are. I would suggest playing this over a stable and fast Wi-Fi connection, otherwise lag is going to do you in no matter how skilled you are. When Star Wars: Force Arena is fired up on your mobile device, you can then choose to be on the side of the mighty Empire, or with the Rebellion.

Once you have decided which particular faction that you will be spearheading, then it is time to roll up your sleeves, and get down and dirty with it. This can be achieved by building up your squad of troops as well as vehicles, so that your army will (hopefully) be adequately armed in order to fight against other armies from the other faction. Your squad can be built by recruiting characters that do feature an array of skills as well as attack abilities, accompanied by relevant character cards that can be picked up after each battle. Not only that, these cards can also be upgraded in order to strengthen your existing squad.

Living up to its name, Star Wars: Force Arena will feature a combat system that will occur within the context of an arena. This makes it close to a typical MOBA game, and it has been mentioned in Play Google that players will need to have a powerful squad to begin with, carrying a minimum of more than 60 upgradable characters as well as units, if you were to have a fighting chance in emerging as the victor in your skirmishes with the other faction.

There is no word on a release date just yet, but the pre-registration is already open.
