T-Mobile Pays For Your Phone If You Make A Carrier Switch

While there is a whole lot of talk going on across various channels concerning the many different kinds of offers available where the upcoming Black Friday date is concerned, all the way through to Cyber Monday. T-Mobile intends to shake things up a little bit differently by introducing an alternative to Black Friday. How will they go about to achieve this? The answer is pretty simple -- T-Mobile intends to introduce its holiday deals one week earlier than Black Friday, and have decided to call it “Magenta Friday” instead.

T-Mobile, which is also known as the Un-carrier among the general populace, kick started their Magenta Friday deals by giving out up to 2 more extra lines for free -- and this will be for new as well as current customers. How about that when it comes to generosity? Pretty cool, don’t you think so? Basically, the deal was kicked off on Friday, November 18th, and it will last all the way through to Sunday, November 20th. It will be a three day limited edition offer, which would mean that a family of four will be able to enjoy not one, but two lines for at T-Mobile. If you have been mulling over the possibility of making the jump to the Un-carrier, there simply is no better time than now -- at least, until the 20th of November, or when T-Mobile decides to go nuts and offer the Magenta Friday deal some time down the road. Perhaps you have been hankering after that brand new tablet or smartphone to go along with your existing bundle of devices, and now would be the perfect time to do so. The two free lines will cost you nothing extra each month, which is like a bonus!

This could very well be a teaser of what is to come as well, since from next week onward, T-Mobile will be revealing more goodies as the Black Friday weekend approaches. John Legere, the president and CEO of T-Mobile, shared, “It’s time to start your holiday shopping early, and the Un-carrier is kicking things off with a bang this weekend on Magenta Friday! We know families work to stretch their budgets during the holiday season, so I love giving our Un-carrier customers a little—ok, a lot of extras this time of year.”

From November 24th all the way through to November 27th, the Un-carrier will be preparing a slew of Black Friday weekend offers that are bound to entice every one of us out there. There will be different “bait”, so to speak, for different folks. For instance, if your family member has been rocking to a handset that last stopped updating its Android software at Ice Cream Sandwich, it is time to put a stop to such #PhoneShame by getting them a free Samsung Galaxy S7 -- with 24 monthly bill credits as you trade in a Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5 or other device that runs on T-Mobile ONE or Simple Choice Unlimited.

Well, what do you think of T-Mobile's approach? Perhaps dishing out free lines per customer, new or otherwise, is a good way to get more users onboard who will eventually migrate to paying customers for other services in the long run.
