Taiwan Film, I Wish Promotes Christian Values

By Luke Leung

TAIWAN – I Wish, a national film uniting the efforts of Christian director, Guozhi Xu, Christian screenwriter, Yue Qingqing, and Christian actor, Black Man (Chen Jianzhou), will be released in all major theatres in Taiwan on Nov. 30.

At the I Wish movie pre-screening meeting, Christian ministers responded enthusiastically. Some even cried after watching the film.

Mayor of Taichung, Hu Zhiqiang, and director Li Gang were also present to show their avid support. They recommended this film and hope that more people can take actions to support a quality national film production.

Even though this film was categorized as a gospel movie and the director and the majority of the casts and stage crews (even music used) were Christians, Xu thinks that it is not the case.

“I hope that people with all kinds of background can watch this film. Brothers and sister in Christ are not compelled to support just because it is a gospel film. We simply want to make a film that can touch the heart of people and influence their lives,” expressed Xu in an interview with Good TV.

Through this film, not only can the love of God be revealed, but it can also serve as a reminder to everyone about some things of children, a father, forgiveness, and hope.

Movie Summary:
