The Bachelor Season 20
Ben Higgins for The Bachelor Star Pulse

Dancing with the Stars has ended, and that means everyone is preparing for the premiere of The Bachelor, which will air on January 4th. Filming for this show started at the end of September, and the final rose has already been given. This season's Bachelor is Ben Higgins- who you might remember from the last season of The Bachelorette when he was rejected by Kaitlyn Bristowe.  Ben Higgins, 26, will get a new chance to try to find his future wife on The Bachelor, where he will be set up with 28 girls.

There are two girls who are returning from a previous season of The Bachelor (Chris Soules' season).  The first one is Becca Tilley- the runner-up to Whitney Bischoff.  Becca admitted to Chris that she wasn't sure about their future and that she wasn't ready to relocate for him until she was more certain. The other is Amber James, who was also on Chris' season, but only lasted three episodes.  Will she make it longer this time?  For those wanting to know everything that happens this season, Reality Steve has all the spoilers here

The previews for The Bachelor have also shown that Ben will get to date twins- Emily and Haley Ferguson (23) of Las Vegas, NV.  They have appeared on a reality tv show before.  A couple of years ago, they were on the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team.  They have also recently tried out to be LA Laker cheerleaders.

Ben has a great variety of women to choose from. There are all sorts of backgrounds and occupations, from the elementary teacher, flight attendant, dental assistant, and many business women.  Ben's options will be from the most Christian cast in history, which is appropriate considering how Ben has professed his Christianity.  He even has a tattoo that says "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."  There is a complete list of the girls and their descriptions in a separate article from Reality Steve

Those who have seen the previous season might know that besides being a Christian, Ben is an only child who is close to his parents.  He sells software for a living. Traveling and culture are a part of him, as he worked at a zoo in Peru, spent time in Bolivia, and has even hiked the trails of Machu Picchu, as his profile on the ABC site reveals.

The producer of The Bachelor, Mike Fleiss has tweeted, "This is shaping up to be the most romantic season - EVER!!!"   This should come as no surprise.  Ben has talked about wanting to find a love like his parents, who have been married for thirty-four years.  Will he find it on a reality television show?  Tune into The Bachelor Monday nights on ABC starting January 4th to watch the story unfold. You can live stream the event at the ABC site if you are away from your television.
