The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best-selling and most-acclaimed games of 2015 from creators CD Projekt Red.  Naturally, its final DLC (Downloadable Content) Blood and Wine, is going to be coveted by the fans, who have already devoted quite a bit of time in the myriad quests of the game and its other DLC of Hearts of Stone.  News recently broke of a leaked release date for Blood and Wine, but it turns out that it might just be a placeholder, meaning that Blood and Wine could have an earlier (but hopefully not later) release date. 

Gamespot reports that the release date for Blood and Wine could have been revealed as a polish gaming website (CD Projekt Red is a Polish company) known as GRYOnline listed the upcoming expansion as launching on June 7.  Considering that the content was supposed to come out originally in Q1 2016 (January to March), but then shifted to the second half (January -June), it seems like the update is coming later with this projected date.  Yes, this is a possible placeholder date, as CD Projekt Red has made no formal announcement. 

PlayStation Lifestyle reports that the physical version of Blood and Wine will include a download code for expansion that will require the base game.  It will also feature two Gwent card decks (154 cards in total) with game tokens. 

CD Projekt Red's Marcin Momot was asked if there will be a Collector's Edition, and his response was just "more info will follow at the right time".  The right time is a good subject for the release date of Blood and Wine, as the Editor in Chief at GRYOnline said:  "Unfortunately, I have bad news. The date that we set was a placeholder date, because all the official information point to Q2. The 7th of June was just an estimated date.

The way our date system is constructed, we have no option to set a more general date like Q2." So yes, there still isn't any real release date on Blood and Wine.  This really should be quite a surprise, as Blood and Wine is expected to be quite large, and this will be the end of the adventures of Geralt. It would appear that CD Projekt Red is going to be done with this franchise, and will move on to other things." 

 What other things will that be?  Try Cyberpunk 2077, which is an upcoming action role-playing game based on a Cyberpunk series of tabletop role-playing games, but there is very little news on that front. 

So yes, there is no release date, but this doesn't mean that Blood and Wine won't arrive sometime before June 7.  In fact, June 7 is very close to the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, and it is doubtful that they would release a DLC so close to one of the biggest video game conventions in the world.  It should be noted that Cyberpunk 2077 is reported not to have any presence during E3 2016.
